About David T Wilkinson
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
David T. Wilkinson attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Milwaukee, studying art and architecture. He earned a Master's Degree in Architecture in 1975. As a child Dave first learned about photography in his grandfather's darkroom, developed his eye for photography during college, and has progressed with his art through digital technology. In addition to his photography, over four decades Dave created pen and ink artwork including Door County, Wisconsin scenes and as well as custom residential renderings. Dave is a retired United Methodist minister having served churches in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In his photography Dave captures his unique perspective as architect, artist and minister. "I believe that we look at many things every day, but we don't really see them. I find that the more I shoot, the more I see. And the more I see, the more I shoot."
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful, for beauty is God's handwriting." Dave's nature photography particularly focuses on the wonder, the uniqueness and the beauty of God's creation.
