Description
In many Christian denominations, the chancel of the church is adorned with these white lilies for Easter worship services. They are a symbol of the resurrection of Christ. The lily has always been highly regarded in the Church, as Jesus Himself referenced the flower, saying, "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." (Luke 12:27)
