Description
These Canada geese are coming into the harbor at Port Washington, Wisconsin. On a bitter cold February day they were seeking a slightly warmer spot. With the steam rising from the open waters of Lake Michigan the pier head light appears to float in the background. The light, dating back to 1934, marks the entrance to the harbor.

The mist/fog makes this look like a spaceship is landing and has scared all the birds away! . . .f/l

This is so fantastic, it just doesn't even look real! WOW! What a capture of a scene probably never to be repeated! . . . .fv

Very cool. I like how the steam or mist makes the pier head light appear to be floating - like a castle in a fairy tale illustration.
