Description
This vintage barn, with its red ivy in the fall, graces the property of Simon Creek Winery near Carlsville in Door County, Wisconsin. It is said that Al Capone once came to this barn trying to persuade Chris Simon to sell him the farm. Simon, an “untouchable,” refused to be intimidated, inspiring the name of one of the winery’s most popular vintages, “Untouchable Red,” an American Ruby Cabernet wine.
