Description
In 1869 this seven-room keeper's dwelling was built which contained the rear range light, with the front range light 900 ft toward Lake Michigan.. Located in Baileys Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin, the dwelling is a 36' x 24', one and one-half story structure with a porch in front and a rear shed-roofed room for a kitchen. The rear range light's rectangular tower projects from the roof at the front of the gable end of the house. On the south side is a large window behind which a 5th order lens was placed. In 2019 the range lights celebrated their 150th anniversary.

It's hard to beat red in the snow - such a cheery, welcoming, and warm look. Lovely scene, David.

So beautiful, this red building celebrating 150 years is amazing. Love the wreaths and of course the snow filled scenery! - Sherry
